Course Description

In this course, participants will focus on the benefits of independent play in the PreK-2 classroom, and how it can enhance student learning. Teachers will learn multiple ways to transform learning environments to incorporate play, create learning opportunities that speak to various student identities, design playful learning experiences that promote critical thinking, and respond to observations and assessments to draw on children’s capabilities. “The course ADD/ADHD: Strategies & Interventions offers an interesting first- person perspective. I find it both relatable, as I believe everyone has experienced some of these challenges, and professionally enlightening in that, we must keep in mind that people’s capability can vary depending on circumstances, both internal and external.” -A.Smith, Massachusetts
